Dilara is a Sydney based Meisner trained actor, voice actor and musician who trains in Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu & kick boxing.

 

Second generation Australian with roots in Turkish heritage and middle eastern culture, she started her early years local to North Western Sydney.

 

Dance classes and examinations being a fundamental part of her routine from a young age, it was her introduction into the Performing Arts, she later was drawn to storytelling and undertook short courses at NIDA.

Dilara went on to achieve a diploma in Musical Theatre from Brent Street Studios in 2014, which included training in L.A, Las Vegas and NYC, later that year she received a part scholarship college offer from the prestigious AMDA University, The American Musical and Dramatic Academy based in NYC & L.A.

 

Between 2016 and 2020 she spent time cultivating in the Blue Mountains music scene, having formed the Blue Mountains based Rock band, Green Rose, as well as playing and touring in Electronic Rock band, Earprojector.

In 2019, Earprojector's second album Mind Over Machine was launched and Dilara went on tour with Earprojector to VIC and NSW which included their performance at the Resilience Music Festival with headlining band Tonight Alive.

 

Dilara wrote and performed original material in Green Rose and was invited to perform on Blue Mountains Radio in 2018, the same year where she performed backing vocals for Australian Rock/Pop icon, Swanee, at Happy Hippie Hoedown.

Dilara Joined Sydney based Hard Rock Band, Crimson Empire, in 2022 as lead vocalist and lyricist, and with the band produced original compositions.

Her musical abilities stretch to instrumentation such as Guitar accompaniment, Synthesizer, Keyboard and Percussion.

In 2019 she worked in live theatre at the Waradah theatre in the Blue Mountains, where she played the female lead in back to back performances on a weekly roster, performing six shows a day.

 

Dilara's performances have been reviewed by colleagues and coaches to show an engaging and powerful subtlety appropriate for film, and an ability to instinctually make strong character choices.
